Exciting year-end programs at Tidewater Jewish Foundation

Ending the 2015 calendar year on a very high note, the Tidewater Jewish Foundation recently rolled out several exciting initiatives. These include two matching incentives to help energize philanthropy, including a Legacy Match Life Insurance Program, a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) Match Program, and a new online donor portal.

Through the Legacy Match Life Insurance Program, TJF will share the cost of a new policy and help individuals and families Create a Jewish Legacy. For policies with a face value of at least $250,000 that benefit a Jewish affiliate agency, TJF will share up to 50% of the cost of the premium up to $60,000, if paid in 10 years or less.

The DAF Match will give new donors an extra $2,500 to give away. A DAF operates like a charitable savings fund managed by TJF as the philanthropic partner. A gift of $7,500 may be eligible for a $2,500 MATCH from the TJF Unrestricted Fund, resulting in a $10,000 DAF in the donor’s name.

TJF also implemented DonorFirst, an innovative, personalized and web-based platform for all current donors and fund representatives. DonorFirst provides more interactive access to personalized fund information through a more timely, convenient and engaging philanthropic experience. This exciting new program for donors will make it easier for them to more effectively manage and oversee their philanthropic and fund management activities.
