The Tidewater Chavurah will celebrate a Hanukkah Shabbat service led by Rabbi Ellen Jaffe-Gill, at the home of Hal and Elaine Levenson in the Great Neck area of Virginia Beach.

People are encouraged to bring their favorite Menorah and candles for group candle lighting, and for an act of kindness, some canned, boxed and other non-perishable foods that will be donated to the Jewish Family Service General Food Pantry.

Symbolic foods such as potato latkes and jelly doughnuts will be part of the festivities.

Tidewater Chavurah is a “congregation without walls.” Chavurah means a “group of friends.” Worship is in the Reform/ Reconstructionist traditions. Everyone is invited.
