Sunday, April 19, 1–3:45 pm, the Sandler Family Campus

An empowering event for local Jewish teens and their parents, Teen Wellness: Healthy Bodies, Healthy Lives is presented by United Jewish Federation of Tidewater, the Simon Family Jewish Community Center, Jewish Family Service of Tidewater, BBYO and NFTY.

Dr. David Reitman, the featured guest speaker, deals everyday with young adult health issues in his role as medical director for the Student Health Center at American University.

The event will include an array of engaging workshops by prominent health and wellness experts. Teens will gain useful tips and strategies for eating healthfully, managing stress, building confidence and being the healthiest version of themselves.

Parents and teens will participate together for the first half of the program and then separate for break-out sessions of interest during the remainder of the event.
