Sandra Sukoff Nesson

Norfolk – Sandra Sukoff Nesson, 92, of Norfolk, passed away on November 1, 2026.

Sandra lived an extraordinary life and is now reunited in heaven with her beloved late husband, Yale; her daughter, Melissa; her brother, Fred; and her great-grandson, Owen.

Born in New York, she was the daughter of the late Saul and Rose Sukoff.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted daughter, Denise Goldwasser, and her husband, Bobby Goldwasser; her grandchildren, Jayme Zimmerman (Jason), Lindsey Gove (Chris), Jenna Lipkin, and Barrett Lipkin; her great-grandchildren, Madyson, Taylor, Cooper, and Isabelle; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who were like family.

Sandra lived a full and wonderful life, filled with travels alongside Yale, endless love and devotion to her daughters, Melissa and Denise, and the joy of spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Always ahead of her time, she developed a love for Mahjongg and proudly passed that passion along by teaching her grandchildren how to play. She was also an avid reader and sports enthusiast, with a lifelong love for the New York Yankees and the ODU Monarchs. Above all else, Sandra treasured her family and happiest moments were those spent surrounded by the people she loved most.

A graveside service was held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.hdoliver.com.
