Norfolk —Shirley L. Harris, of Norfolk, died on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the age of 91 years.
She was born on December 4, 1924 in Norfolk to Louis Levine and Sarah Bloom Levine. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and spent much of her life being involved with her family’s activities.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Leon M. Harris.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Marsha Woodman (Jay) of Virginia Beach; son Eric W. Harris of Norfolk; daughter Lori Beim (Michael) of Longwood, Florida.; her grandchildren, Jennifer Stern (Dani), Shana Prohofsky (Joel), Sydney and Riley Beim; her great-grandchildren, Hayley and Daphne Stern, Eli and Leo Prohofsky; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A graveside service was held at B’nai Israel Cemetery in Norfolk.
