Allison Josephs of jewinthcity. com will visit Tidewater as B’nai Israel’s Scholar In Residence. Her visit is made possible by a grant from the Temple/Synagogue Initiative of the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater.
Founder and director of JITC, Josephs has been involved in the field of Jewish Outreach for more than a dozen years, teaching and lecturing, working at Partners in Torah, Sinai Retreats, and NCSY, and is the Partner in Torah mentor to actress Mayim Bialik. Josephs was named one of NJOP’s Top Ten Jewish Influencers in 2012 and was one of the Jewish Week’s 36 under 36 in 2013. Josephs has been quoted or written about in numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal, CNN, The Daily Beast, Huffington Post and Yahoo News.
