Norman Prince

Virginia Beach —Norman Prince, 83, died on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017.

He was the son of the late Nathan and Anna Prince and was predeceased by his wife, Sheila Prince.

He was born in Massachusetts and graduated from Boston University and Washington University where he received his Master of Social Work. He worked in the social work field for 12 years. Norman also walked with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Alabama in 1966 because he believed in equal rights for all.

He retired from his deli, Mike’s Colley Deli, after 20 years and then retired again after 11 years of service at The Dump.

Norman is survived by three children; Michael Prince and wife Helen, Rachel True and husband Steven (deceased) and Daniel Prince and wife, Bethany; five grandchildren, Benjamin and Nathan True and Nathan, Ethan and Elianna Prince; brother, Dr. Alan Prince and wife, Debbie and a sister-in-law, Julie and husband Leonard Frankel.
