Portsmouth—Rita S. Kaufman Hobbs, 79, left this earth on Thursday, July 19, 2012.
Rita was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Leonard Kaufman, second husband, James Hobbs, sons, Steven Kaufman and Martin Kaufman, and her daughter-in-law Missy Kaufman.
She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Hogge and her husband Kevin, three sons, Fred Kaufman, Robert Kaufman and his wife, Patricia, Richard Kaufman; brother, Harvey Segal and wife, Lynda; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rita was a past president of the PTA, as well as an instrumental advocate for the Spina Bifida Association and past president of the March of Dimes. She was an active member of the Friday Night Poker Players.
