Noam Katz, minister for Public Diplomacy for the Embassy of Israel will speak as a part of the World Affairs Council’s Great Decisions lecture series at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Virginia Beach.
Katz oversees the public diplomacy efforts for Israel’s missions in the United States and Canada, including outreach to religious, academic, special interest and cultural organizations. Prior to his role in Washington, Katz served as director of the Public Affairs Department for the MFA. Katz has also served as the Ambassador of Israel to Nigeria, Ghana, and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). Under his leadership, his embassy won the MFA’s “Outstanding Embassy” award. Katz is the recipient of several awards and medals: IDF Citation, MFA Award of Excellence, and the MFA Commendation for Excellence.
Great Decisions is a program developed by the Foreign Policy Association that provides the community with opportunities to learn about issues of global importance.
