United Jewish Federation of Tidewater’s NextGen community recently teamed up with Norfolk Kayak Rentals for an eventful Sunset on the Water experience. Despite cloudy skies, the weather held out so that NextGen kayakers could enjoy time out on the water.
Participants experienced an evening of paddling and community connection, which was elevated by the insightful teachings of Rabbi Michael Panitz from Temple Israel and Rabbi Pinchas Zimmer from B’nai Israel. The rabbis shared words of Torah that beautifully connected Jewish wisdom with the surrounding nature and sunset. Their teachings provided all the spiritual light needed for a memorable night on the water.
