The Be A Reader (BEAR) program is one of three finalists for Classic Air’s One Hour Cares $5,000 giveaway. The recipient will be chosen at the end of March in a lottery-type drawing, with the more “likes” received at OneHourCares.com increasing the chances to win.
Established in 1999 to help combat the issues of children’s literacy, BEAR’s goal is to help at-risk children in Tidewater public schools acquire the reading skills and love of learning that lead to personal happiness and success.
Winning the $5,000 would allow BEAR to expand into additional Title 1 schools and help more children who struggle with literacy.
