The young men’s giving circle through UJFT’s Young Adult Division, Nadiv, finished its third year of existence with banner fundraising.

Members of the group—Jewish men in their 20s, 30s and 40s—donated $1,500 to One Happy Camper, a program implemented by Tidewater Jewish Foundation. The money will help a child attend Jewish summer camp.

To raise the funds, Nadiv launched an innovative fundraiser called the March Madness Bracket Challenge. In all, 103 people participated, generating the $1,500.

S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. and Calliott, Demeter and Harrell Investment & Wealth Advisors served as inaugural sponsors of the fundraiser.

Nadiv also continues to serve as a place for YAD-age men to network personally and professionally. The group meets monthly and hears from a variety of speakers.

In August, for example, Charlie Braden, director of market development for the Norfolk Airport Authority, spoke about the airport’s future. In September, Jody Wagner, founder of Jody’s Popcorn, will be the guest speaker.
