More than 60 people attended S’more Fun, a collaborative event presented by Camp JCC and Camp Sababa Beachaway on Sunday afternoon, March 27.
Families enjoyed crafts, s’mores over a fire pit, and kosher pizza for dinner while children played gaga and other camp games on the field and white top.
On an unseasonably cold day, the fire was an extra special treat for parents who had the chance to mingle while their children played. In addition to the fun, parents and their potential campers were able to learn about Jewish camping options in Tidewater and connect with Dave Flagler, Camp JCC director, and Danny Mishkin, Sababa Beachaway director.
Families on their way out the door shared that this afternoon was a wonderful opportunity for local Jewish camps to create community outside of the summer season. Even though the weather was cold, the special afternoon spent with friends was a warm reminder of summer camp.
