The United Jewish Federation of Tidewater and Simon Family JCC’s Patricia & Avraham Ashkenazi and Alma & Howard Laderberg Virginia Festival of Jewish Film kicks off its 28th season with the screening of The Crossing, offered virtually for 72 hours.
A movie for the entire family, the film tells the story of the adventurous 10-year-old Gerda and her brother Otto, who help two young Jews to flee from the Nazis, cross the border to neutral Sweden, and reunite with their parents. Pre-registration is required.
